How to be More Active

Losing weight is all about calories in versus calories out. Here are some ideas on how to boost the "calories out" part.

1. Take the stairs instead of the elevator

2. Clean the house

3. Mow the lawn

4. Park your car farther away

5. Play with your kids

6. Take your dog for a longer walk or more walks

7. Ride your bike or walk rather than driving

8. Walk to see a colleague rather than making a phone call or sending an email/IM

9. Gardening or yard work

10. Take a walk after dinner instead of watching TV
